Both the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommend low-dose vaginal estrogen as first-line therapy for GSM.

Questions
Compounded estrogen & progesterone cream is a prescription medication prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy based on a physician's prescription. It contains estradiol (the same form of estrogen naturally produced by the body) and progesterone. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved. They are prepared by an FDA-registered 503A/503B compounding pharmacy.
Yes. A valid prescription from a licensed physician is always required before any medication is dispensed. A licensed provider in our network will review your health information and, if appropriate, issue a prescription. Vyoni does not sell medication without a prescription.
No. Systemic hormone replacement therapy (HRT) delivers hormones throughout the body via pills or patches. Topical vaginal estrogen is applied locally, acts on vaginal and urethral tissue, and has minimal systemic absorption. Many women who cannot or choose not to use systemic HRT may be candidates for topical vaginal estrogen. Your prescribing physician will determine what's appropriate for you.
Individual results vary. Some women notice improvement in dryness and comfort within 4–6 weeks, with further improvement possible over 3–6 months of consistent use. Results are not guaranteed, and continued use is typically needed to maintain benefits.
If our physicians determine that prescription estrogen & progesterone cream is not appropriate for your situation, you will not be charged. The eligibility questionnaire and physician review are free if no prescription is issued.
